Centre of Excellence in

Production Informatics and Control

The main objective of the EPIC project is to establish the Centre of Excellence in Production Informatics and Control (EPIC CoE) as a leading, internationally acknowledged focus point in the field of cyber-physical production systems. The main goals of the EPIC CoE are to upgrade this scientific centre of excellence and to strengthen the ability of SZTAKI and the two faculties of BME to transfer the research results to the industry with the support of the participating FhG institutions. We work to enhance the applied research and innovation potential in the field of cyber-physical systems and make the results available for the manufacturing and logistics industry.

The mission of EPIC CoE – as a leading-edge knowledge centre of cyber-physical production systems – is to accelerate innovation, realize industrial solutions, train new generations of highly qualified professionals and support the development of a sustainable and competitive European manufacturing ecosystem.
